Everything below takes about a minute to read. If your question is not here, email us and a person will answer.
Getting started
- Tell it what you're calling in. Your first name and a few taps: what you want, how it feels now, what tends to get in the way, and your bedtime.
- Describe the moment it's done. Nia drafts a short scene in the present tense with affirmations, and you make it yours.
- Choose a voice and a frequency. Pick a narrator, or read a short statement aloud so your scenes play in your own voice. Choose 528, 432, 639 or 888 Hz under your track.
- Press play and drift off. After a short wind-down, your scene repeats with pauses over a soundscape, then fades out on your sleep timer. With Nia Plus, a new song and a text from one of your people arrive each day.
Common questions
What is SATS?
SATS — a “State Akin To Sleep” — is Neville Goddard's name for the drowsy, relaxed state just before sleep. The practice is to rest in that state while you replay a short scene of your wish already fulfilled. Nia gives you that scene, read aloud and looping as you drift off. It is a reflective practice, not a sleep treatment.
Why does my scene stay the same every night?
On purpose — repetition is the heart of the practice. Tonight's scene stays the same until you choose to change it in Library, or evolve it when it starts to feel ordinary.
Who sends the daily texts?
Nobody real. You add people from your life — a name, who they are to you, how they talk — and each day Nia writes a text from one of them, as if your goal had already happened. The texts are written by AI; Nia never reads your contacts and never messages anyone.
How does “your voice” work, and can I remove it?
You read a short statement aloud; recording it is your consent for us to make a copy of your voice, with Fish Audio, that only reads your own scenes. The recording is deleted once the copy exists. You can switch back to a narrator at any time. To remove the copy, delete your account — or email us and we will delete just your voice.
What is free, and what needs Nia Plus?
You can set up your ritual, hear your first scene as a full session with its soundscape, and get a first text from each person you add for free. Nia Plus adds a new song every day, a daily text from your people, narration of every scene you make, and more drafts. One subscription, the same on weekly and yearly, no per-item unlocks.
Is Nia a sleep aid or therapy?
No. It is a relaxation and manifestation ritual, and it is not a medical device or a treatment for any sleep or mental-health condition. Frequencies are for atmosphere, not treatment. If you are struggling with sleep or with how you feel, please talk to a qualified professional.
How do I cancel my subscription or the free trial?
iPhone (App Store): Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nia → Cancel Subscription.
Android (Google Play): Open the Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nia → Cancel.
Cancel at least 24 hours before a free trial ends and you are not charged. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
I paid but the app still shows me as free
Open the paywall and tap Restore. Make sure you are signed in to the same account that made the purchase. If it still does not appear after a minute, email us with the date of purchase and we will fix it.
How do I delete my account?
any tab → your initial (top right) → You → Delete my account, or see the deletion page. Cancel your subscription in your store account separately — deleting the account does not stop the billing.
