You can delete your Nia account — and the data attached to it — at any time, either from inside the app or by asking us.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Nia and tap your initial in the top-right corner of any tab to open You.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Tick I understand this is permanent and confirm. The account and everything in it are deleted straight away, and the app signs you out.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, email hello@fluxternal.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details, your name, age range and gender.
- Your scenes, affirmations, playlists and session history.
- The people you added, and every text in your threads.
- Your daily songs, their lyrics and settings.
- Your onboarding answers and settings.
- Any voice recording still in storage, your session audio, and your voice copy at Fish Audio.
- Your analytics profile, and the link between your account and your subscription record.
- On the phone you delete from: the ritual data and audio stored in the app, and your scheduled reminders.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to close the account to get rid of something. Email hello@fluxternal.com from your account address, say what you want removed — for example your profile details, your usage history, or your analytics profile — and we will delete just that and leave the account working. Same 30-day limit, usually much sooner.
What is not ours to delete
Anything you saved yourself outside Nia — for example a screenshot — lives where you put it. Store purchase records are kept by Apple or Google, and the record of past subscription payments stays with us, without your account, for accounting and tax. Deleted data can also remain in our database provider's encrypted backups for a short time, until those backups expire.
What we keep, and for how long
Records of purchases are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires, even after the account is gone. They are no longer linked to a usable account.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately, in the store you subscribed through. Deleting the account or the app on its own will not stop the billing.
- iPhone (App Store): Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nia → Cancel Subscription.
- Android (Google Play): Open the Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nia → Cancel.
Deletion cannot be undone. Questions first? hello@fluxternal.com — see also the Privacy Policy.
